Industrial Modular Boiler Plants

Industrial boiler plants provide heating, domestic hot water, steam, or process heat wherever system reliability directly affects facility operations. These solutions are required by manufacturing and agricultural enterprises, residential developments, utility providers, healthcare and educational institutions, public-sector facilities, as well as energy and engineering companies.

TeploFormat Engineering delivers turnkey boiler plants—from site assessment and load calculations to installation, commissioning, and final handover.

Types of Boiler Plants We Design and Build

TeploFormat Engineering develops heat supply systems for a wide range of operating conditions:

  • Gas-fired boiler plants are selected when natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas is available.
  • Solid-fuel boiler plants can operate on firewood, coal, pellets, wood chips, and other types of biofuel. They are suitable for facilities that require a higher level of fuel independence.
  • Electric boiler plants are a practical option where sufficient electrical capacity is available. They can serve as either the primary or backup heat source.
  • Liquid-fuel boiler plants are used at sites without access to gas infrastructure or as a backup solution.
  • Multi-fuel boiler plants integrate several energy sources and allow operating modes to be adjusted according to fuel availability and current demand.

For facilities requiring both heat and electricity, the company integrates cogeneration units. The boiler type, burner and auxiliary equipment, fuel source, and thermal capacity are selected individually for each project based on the facility’s processes and consumption profile.

Boiler Plant Configurations

Depending on the facility’s requirements, a boiler plant can be:

  • stationary – located in a separate, attached, or built-in building;
  • block-modular – comprising one or more prefabricated modules;
  • containerised – designed for compact installation where space is limited;
  • rooftop – allowing the available roof area to be used efficiently;
  • transportable – with the option of relocating the system between facilities.

The configuration and structural design are selected based on the available area, required capacity, site conditions, project schedule, and logistics constraints. Connection points to utility networks, maintenance requirements, and the possibility of future system expansion are also considered.

What Is Included in Turnkey Boiler Plant Construction

Comprehensive boiler plant construction covers all major engineering and organisational stages:

  • technical site assessment and collection of initial data;
  • calculation of the required thermal capacity;
  • boiler plant design and selection of primary and auxiliary equipment;
  • structural fabrication, equipment integration, and factory assembly;
  • module delivery, installation, and on-site connection;
  • connection to heating, fuel, electrical, and other utility networks;
  • commissioning, system testing, and automation checks;
  • handover of documentation and training of the customer’s personnel;
  • warranty and after-sales service following start-up.

Having one contractor manage the entire project simplifies the coordination of technical solutions across all stages. Manufacturing modular boiler plants under factory conditions also makes it possible to inspect the assembly of key components before delivery to the site.

The project may include mechanical and thermal systems, electrical supply, automation, ventilation, the flue-gas system, fuel-handling systems and other systems required for safe operation. The exact scope of work and documentation is defined by the technical specification and contract terms.

How a Boiler Plant Is Selected for an Enterprise

  The process begins by defining the system’s purpose: space heating, domestic hot water, steam generation, process heat, or a combination of several functions.

The engineers consider the required capacity, heat-transfer medium, temperature conditions, available fuel types, and parameters of the existing utility networks. They also analyse the size and thermal characteristics of the buildings, the facility’s operating schedule, seasonal demand, and peak loads.

Boiler and energy-source redundancy, the required level of automation, remote monitoring, and personnel involvement in system operation are assessed separately. The project must also comply with emissions, fire safety, and occupational safety requirements.

If the enterprise plans to expand, the technical solution can provide for future increases in demand. This approach makes it possible to design a turnkey industrial boiler plant without excessive installed capacity or the risk of insufficient heat during normal operation.

Advantages of TeploFormat Engineering

  • Experience since 2013. The company has completed more than 60 projects for industrial facilities, agricultural businesses, and municipal infrastructure.
  • Complete in-house project delivery. TeploFormat Engineering performs engineering calculations, boiler plant design, equipment sourcing, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Adaptation to each facility. The equipment and system configuration are selected according to the fuel type, required loads, and actual operating conditions.
  • Automation and control. Remote monitoring and supervisory control systems can be integrated to track operating parameters and respond promptly to system alerts.
  • Warranty and service. The warranty period ranges from 12 to 24 months, depending on the configuration, equipment type, and contract terms.

The company supports customers during installation, start-up, and subsequent operation, provides the required documentation, trains personnel, and delivers technical support.

What Determines the Cost of a Boiler Plant

An accurate quotation is prepared after collecting the initial data for the specific facility. The final cost depends on:

  • the required thermal capacity;
  • the fuel type and fuel-handling requirements;
  • the number of boilers;
  • the equipment manufacturer and configuration;
  • the level of automation and remote monitoring;
  • the boiler plant design and installation format;
  • the complexity of delivery, installation, and connection;
  • the need for a backup boiler or alternative heat source.

Even boiler plants in Ukraine with the same rated capacity may require different equipment, installation conditions, and operating specifications. A preliminary budget should therefore be prepared only after analysing the site parameters and expected loads.
